Taekwondo in its first stage the Olympics, participating as a demonstration sport in the 24th Olympic Games in Changchung Gymnaisum in Seoul, South Korea
120 athletes participated masculine and 63 female athletes from 34 countries, eight in their respective weight categories male and female.

The Central American Sports Organization adopted Taekwondo as a sport official of the Central American Games.
December 6, 1990.
The CND adopted the statutory reform and change of name to ABT CBTKD, Brazilian Confederation of Taekwondo.
03 to 05 August 1992.
Taekwondo participated in the 25th Olympic Games in Palau Blaugrana, Barcelona, Spain.
As a demonstration sport.
The competition was attended by 64 male athletes from 27 countries and 64 female athletes from 27 countries, eight in their weight categories male and female.
